Privacy Policy

Arkive: Pet Companion is operated by Tribal Ventures LLC. This policy describes the information processed by the current Arkive app and services, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information we process

• Account and identity information: email address, display name, Arkive/Firebase user ID, authentication status, and security or device identifiers used to protect and operate the service.
• Pet and care content: pet profiles, household membership, care and medical records, feeding or medication logs, notes, community content, and other information you choose to enter.
• Photos and videos: media you choose to upload or attach to Arkive records.
• Location: precise location when you grant permission and use nearby veterinary or other location-based features, plus approximate location such as city or state where a feature uses it.
• Purchases: subscription, entitlement, and purchase-status information associated with your Arkive account. Apple or Google processes payment details; Arkive does not receive your full payment-card number.
• Usage and diagnostics: app interactions, error or crash information, and related technical information used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Arkive.
• Support and AI-assisted content: information included in a support request and prompts or content you submit when using an AI-assisted feature.

How we use information

We use information to create and maintain accounts; synchronize pet, household, and care records; provide location, subscription, support, community, and AI-assisted features; prevent fraud and abuse; diagnose reliability problems; and meet legal obligations. Arkive does not use current app data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Service providers and disclosure

Tribal Ventures uses service providers to run Arkive, including Google Firebase for authentication, application integrity, cloud functions, database and file storage; RevenueCat and Apple or Google for subscriptions and entitlements; mapping and location-search providers for location features; and AI service providers when you choose an AI-assisted feature. These providers receive only information needed for the applicable service and process it under their terms and our applicable agreements. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a lawful business transaction.

Security and retention

Arkive uses encrypted network connections and access controls designed to protect information. No system is completely secure. We retain account and app information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After deletion, limited records may remain when necessary for legal, financial, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, or deletion-audit purposes. Arkive has not adopted a single fixed retention period for every such record; retention depends on the record and applicable obligation, and records are removed or de-identified when no longer needed.

Your choices

You may decline optional permissions, choose whether to upload media, manage your subscription through Apple or Google, and request access to or deletion of account information. You can initiate account deletion inside Arkive or follow our public account deletion instructions.

Amazon functionality

Amazon product recommendations and affiliate linking are not active in the current Arkive release. If those features are activated later, this policy and applicable store disclosures will be reviewed and updated before activation.
